Sun I call burning wheel:
- Faux Real, Tho (”A little Tilton now and then is relished by the wisest men”)
- The Smedley Log (I just heard “Clocks” on my way home from work—ok, so considering it’s a Coldplay single on an pop/rock radio station, that’s not such a big deal, but still…)
- The Sam and Beckyboo Show (I said once, and I’ll say it again: Live have gone downhill since Secret Samadhi)
- Apartment 2024 (Welcome back, Mr. Kotterrrrrr)
- Freakapotimus (Why wasn’t I informed that there’s an Evil Dead musical?)

So having only just realised that A Silver Mt. Zion are actually rather good, and having acquired some Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Rachel’s, Fly Pan Am, Explosions in the Sky (not that I’ve listened to them all yet), is there anything else of that ilk that I really should hear? And spare me the “Where have you been all these years?” comments, please.
Oh criminy, “What’s good in post rock” is a pretty wide question. I’ll have to think about it and get back to you.
Anyone else who wants to contribute suggestions for Rusty is welcome to do so.
If it makes it any easier, I was going more for your own favourite albums rather than ones that are generally accepted as being splendid.
The Evpatoria Report, The Evpatoria Report, The Evpatoria Report and The Evpatoria Report
I say!
