It’s an easy-listening week: even the bands on the list with the potential to be ‘metally,’ like OMG, Opeth, and Neurosis, have quiet songs in this particular spin. Go figure.
The Legion of Doom FRT:
Mmmmm, Lonestar.
I’m wondering if you have a post lined up on Browzar, and how pointless it seems when you can not only delete private data manually in other broswers, but also very easily choose to disable the storage of this private data in Opera and (from a quick look) Firefox anyway. It seems like it’s aimed at people who are so new to computers that they can’t even find the Options/Preferences dialogue in a program, but if that’s the case, such users are likely to not even understand a concept of web browsers anyway, and will just use the default browser on whatever computer they buy (which is probably going to be IE or AOL).
No, actually, I was going to let it pass without comment, because it’s such an absurd thing.
Browzar claims to be a tiny download, and it is, but that’s really just because it’s nothing more than an ugly skin on whichever IE engine the user’s computer has. And you’re right, of course—there’s a Firefox extension that will accomplish the same thing. Opera has a way, as well, as does Safari.
As the Russians say, I need Browzar about as much as I need teeth in my asshole.
And full of adware, apparently.
