This includes Mormons and their special underwear, Jews and their tzitzis, the pope and his stupid mitre, and anybody else I may have missed. To clarify your other point: the Mormon Church is not unchallenged; it is <em>like</em> the Catholic Church when <em>it</em> was unchallenged—that is, insular, and with too much time to dream up special rites and ceremonial gewgaws. I know all about Joseph Smith’s record. More than you, good and bad. That’s not what bothered me. I wear "special underwear" and it’s sacred to me.
