Linux 2.6 filesystem benchmarks

A recent Linux filesystem benchmark, using modern filesystems, takes a look at some hard numbers. Looks like JFS usually comes in on top.

    Awesome link, thanks for it. I’m surprised and pleased at how well ext3 fared! Reiser, though, as expected, seemed to rock the reads and suck on the writes.

    Really made me want to expand my array to get a sexy rate like 100MB/s on read!

    Ext3 has generally aged like a fine wine. From what I’ve seen of ext4, it’ll rock even harder.
