Maybe I'll borrow it once I find the Cave . Goddammit, I've got all his albums no problem (even the spoken-word one he did) but not the book. I wonder if Goron has it...

(I hope Cohen's a better writer than I think he is—I heard him read something on an NPR-ish radio station, and was underwhelmed)

Haven't ever gotten into Redwalls, TV, or Iggy. My latest new obsessions have been Beirut and The Bad Plus. I've also been revisiting a lot of Nick Drake stuff and Emerson, Lake, and Palmer stuff.

Thanks for the movie invite, but I'm getting over a cold—probably not up for that much drinking/socializing just yet.

.... have you had the baby yet? Or is coming up soon?

You know I found some recordings of Buckley that I used in the second 'Spoken Word' book. (http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20034891,00.html) Met his Mom and NY people, good people. They're working on a film of his life as we write.

I have a copy of 'Losers' in the garage, you're welcome to borrow it anytime.

Have you tried 'Redwalls', 'TV On the Radio', yet? Saw Iggy at Lolla last Sunday, blew the doors off the place.

'Big Lebowski' showing at Chicago St. Pub tonight, probably going. Film at 7:00.

If I can find the damn book. It eludes me still....

Admittedly, very few people have anything on Buckley, though I admit his protegé Jimmy Gnecco knocks my socks off.

'And the Ass Saw the Angel' by Nick Cave, you're going to enjoy this one; should follow it up with 'Beautiful Losers' by Cohen (since there seems to be some connection in this post).

Saw Rufus do Hallelujah...nothing on either Cohen or Buckley or (shoot me), I saw J Bon Jovi knock it out of the park.
