No one ever says a word about so much that happens in the world:
- The Smedley Log (why can’t all Live albums be as good as Throwing Copper and Secret Samadhi?
- Winter Spring Summer (Under the Pink = Best. Amos. Ever.)
- Rusty’s Kingdom (A philosophical FRT question: should 12-second tracks be elided in deference to full-length songs?)
- Faux Real, Tho (Lenny Kravitz built this garden for us… on rock ‘n’ roll)
- The BM Rant (I think Mellon Collie… might just be one of the best alternative albums of the 1990s)
“why can’t all Live albums be as good as Throwing Copper and Secret Samadhi?”
- most people would chop that comparison down to just Throwing Copper, with great songs like Waittress ,TBD (imo) the horse song and a few other gems. You may be one of the few people I’ve encountered who (like me) would also include Samadhi as one of their good ones. I personally loved it.
To be sure, Throwing Copper is—hands down—my favorite, but I think Secret Samadhi was cut from the same cloth.
