SubscribeAlthough Trac has it listed as due on the sixth of June, Wordpress 2.0.3 has come out early. It’s a minor update, quashing just 13 bugs, but according to the developer blog, some of those fixes are backports from the upcoming 2.1 release (date still unknown). Download now.
This is a bug fix and security release, and is recommended for all WordPress users. In addition to an issue that was raised on Bugtraq a few days ago, we’ve also backported a number of security enhancements from 2.1 to further enhance and protect your blog.
For the curious, this release includes:
- Small performance enhancements
- Movable Type / Typepad importer fix
- Enclosure (podcasting) fix
- The aforementioned security enhancements (nonces)
Naturally, this blog is already updated (despite a strange problem with SFTP this morning). The rest will follow.
