My own feelings about Office in general and Office 2007 specifically, I must admit that it’s an attractive UI. Whether or not it’s effective is another matter entirely.

To be fair, I at least like that they’re stirring the waters with a new UI approach, and naturally it’s visually gorgeous, but regardless of the quality of the product, we’re still talking about $$$ and semi-proprietary formats and vendor lock-in and possibly goddamn talking paperclips.
