Women have a harder time orgasming during intercourse for physical, logistical reasons. If the male refuses to do anything to please her, he’s just an asshole and should be dumped. Where is the “inequality”?

The vaginal orgasm isn’t as common, of course, meaning that some clitoral stimulation, either from cunnilingus or digital stimulation during intercourse, is required. A lot of guys either don’t realize this or don’t care, and women aren’t taught to express their sexual frustrations: they think of it as “their problem.” So, not only are a lot of guys assholes, but there’s a stigma attached to a woman’s sense of sexual entitlement. The fact is that men become sexualized earlier and more publicly, but women, if they’re sexualized at all, do so in a secondary capacity.

Now, I doubt that Dr. Adams has any reservations, in theory anyway, about the female orgasm. However, he is mistaken in taking issue, however abstract, in an event that seeks to raise aware of the aforementioned inequality.

In fact, I’m sure his concerns have little to do with the subject matter per se and everything to do with the fact that it’s being advertised. Perhaps in his mind, females should leave talking about orgasms to coffeeshops and blogs; but as we’ve seen, not talking about it hasn’t solved a damn thing.
