It’s a slow day here at work, so I’m taking my cue from the lovely and ravishing Allison.
- 8 Firsts
- First Best Friend: Nick Vasiliades, about 3rd grade. Oh goodness, just thinking about all the shit we did makes my head hurt.
- First Kiss: Allison. No reason to bother with anyone before her.
- First Screen Name: Oh my, I have to think back to my AOL days in ’94. I believe my first real screen name was “sigcow,” named after the gun from the Doom series of books.
- First Pet: The first pets I remember were our first-generation cats, Jasmine (a siamese) and Buddy (a tabby). The first pet that was ever actually mine was a Guinea pig named Richard.
- First Crush: I’m noticing a trend here wherein I am being asked to go uncomfortably far back into my psyche. If I must choose such a time, I’d have to say it was probably Keara Duchene, who went to to my church, and who was in 5th grade when I was in 3rd.
- First music You Remember Hearing: Probably Michael Jackson or something.
- First Car: I learned and got my license on a ’95 Mercury Tracer Trio, but it was never really mine. My car ended up being a ’90 Plymouth Horizon(!).
- 7 Lasts
- Last Time you skipped class: Last Tuesday I skipped both my science course and my art course. I’m a bad boy.
- Last Alcoholic Drink: Irish coffee. If that doesn’t count, a bunch of hard lemonades on my granddad’s old farm in Nebraska.
- Last Car Ride: Coming to work this morning.
- Last Kiss: Technically speaking, I kissed my kitten on the head this morning; however, I assume the question is referring to a kiss with a person, so that would be last night, with Allison.
- Last Movie Seen: Monster in Law (short review: Fonda wonderful, Sykes funny, Vartan wooden, J-Lo blighted).
- Last Phone Call: Allison’s cell phone.
- Last CD Listened To: Liquid Tension Experiment 2
- 6 Have-You-Evers
- Have You Ever Dated One Of Your Best Friends: I’ve only dated one person, and since I started courting her before I even knew her, it wouldn’t be fair to say that she was my best friend at the time.
- Have You Ever Broken The Law: Hasn’t everyone misdemeanored?
- Have You Ever Been Arrested: No, though I have technically been chased by the police.
- Have You Ever Skinny Dipped: Are you kidding? I don’t even like swimming with clothes on.
- Have You Ever Been On T.V: Not the sort that anyone but my family might watch.
- 5 Things
- 5 Things You’re Wearing: Titanium ring, Doc Martens, jeans, a collared shirt, and a nice pen hooked on the flap.
- 5 Things You’ve Done Today: Showered, made coffee, gave my friend Jessie a piece of software, ate too many candy corns, and walked a lot (damn parking lot construction!).
- 5 Things You Can’t Live Without: Allison, coffee, internet-capable computer, books, music.
- 5 Things You Do When You’re Bored: Write HTML/CSS, read, eat, nap, blog.
- 5 Places You’ve Been: Wyoming, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Minnesota, Ohio
- 4 Favorite Things
- 1. Coffee
- 2. Computers
- 3. Language
- 4. Allison
- 3 People You Can Tell Almost Anything To
- 1. Allison
- 2. Abou
- 3. Adam
- 2 Choices
- 1. Black or White: Black. White hurts my eyes.
- 2. Hot or Cold: Hot. I have no circulation.
- 1 Thing You Want To Do Before You Die
- Transcend time and space.
Update: Rusty points out that their are only 7 eights and 5 sixes. I doublechecked my source, who is the same way. So this meme came already broken, I guess.

Daaammnnn… you people all have such good friendships and much experiences. I met my first “real” best friend when I was 15. I’d also have nothing to fill out for a lot of those.
In all fairness, though, Nick and I grew apart several years ago. I barely speak to him anymore. He was a sort of “geographic” friend, and our friendship was based on proximity. The people I met in junior high/high school (Abou and ImmaculateZion, for instance) were friends because they share personality traits and interests with me.
