Considering that Cruise’s religion is based upon the idea that Earthlings harbors the souls of trillions of dead space aliens…. duh.
I still wonder why no mainstream news source has ever come out and said “This is what Scientology believes.” They always just say it’s “controversial” or some pabulum like that. Come on, CNN! Do your job!
Most likely legal reasons. The Church of Scientology could easily take someone to court for releasing information on the religion when they were not allowed to. I believe it has been done before.
If the informaton is readily available on the internet, I wouldn’t think that telling the story would be copyright infringement. If Scientology is really a “religion” as they say they are, then the tenets of that religion are subject to fair use policies in terms of reproduction.
Yeah, but all the media outlets are clamoring for the next exclusive interview with Cruise, especially after his ‘duel’ with Matt Lauer. They wanna be careful not to upset him, least he go to (gasp) Fox News or something…best not to upset the already unbalanced Scientologist.
