I agree with your criticism of Chuck's writing style, and the shortcomings of <i>Invisible Monsters</i>. Although <i>Fight Club</i> was published first, I've heard this was the first novel he wrote. I went on a Palahniuk binge for a few weeks after reading <i>Fight Club</i>, and I read almost all of his novels. By the time I got to <i>Invisible Monsters</i>, I became bored with his writing style. I'd have to say <i>Diary</i> is my favorite of his. Nice book list.
