When something is that virulently acerbic, it needs to make its points and get out or it becomes guilty of the kind of self-serving hatred and intellectual laziness it claims to decry. Or it at least needs to leaven itself with some kind of self-immolation to wink at the reader just a bit. Feigning anger can be funny; actual anger usually ain't.
