One year to the day

Today, heliologue.com turns one year old. I first registered the domain on Black Friday 2003, after an unsuccessful attempt to get a cheap LCD monitor from Best Buy. It’s already seen a lot of reincarnations, though since the beginning of 2004, I’ve had a blog of some sort fairly consistently.

Firstly, here’s props to my host, Fuitadnet, a cheap and reliable Linux webhost. Secondly, here’s props to WordPress, my blogging software.

Congrats. Also, a thanks for providing myself and Abou subdomains so that we may grace the world with our wacky antics without having to run through LiveJournal.

Ben, what would it cost me to have you design and host a password protected website for me as a means to announce new releases?

    (e.g., https://www.grokmusiq.com/) I like that minimalistic look.

That Fuitadnet hosting company gives you a lot for $5 a month. I’m quite happy with my 100 mb storage, 5gb bandwidth for $2 a month, though.

For my purposes, it’s probably excessive, yes, but it does come in handy for those times when I need an ad hoc file server or something.
