T. Eve Greenaway at AlterNet says that the 18-25 age group actually did “rock the vote.” The problem? Everyone else did too.
Arianna Huffington says that the Dems lost their teeth before they lost their election. Poor John Kerry: his constant bashing of Bush’s war in Iraq would have taken a larger toll if he had meant it.
Lakshmi Chaudhry is bummed to the point of histrionics.
Amy Sullivan insists that the evangelical reawakening happened 30 years ago, not with Bush.
Greg Palast is his usual insane leftist self and claims that Kerry won in Ohio. Sorry, Greg, but you’re making us look bad.
Speedkill points out that Alan Keyes is just as insane as Palast, perhaps more.
And finally, Michael Moore mixes satire and poignancy.
I wonder if Moore is aware that his loud smugness helped elect the person he hates so much and worked so hard to defeat.
Eh, Moore has only done so much to make me feel better. It will be a while before I am ready to fight again.
I cannot fathom why people think the relevance of left-leaning figures such as Moore is lessened due to the election results. Common sense tells us the opposite is true; if anything, they’re more relevant than they ever were before.
