An open letter to America

In the past month, there have been a lot of important events going on, and many people in America are very confused and in need of God’s pure light and wisdom.

First of all, this gay marriage nonsense needs to stop. Like President Bush (God bless him) has said, marriage is the oldest institution in this country, even in this world, and it’s between a man and a woman. The Bible says that two men or two women living together is a sin, and what kind of country would we be if we allowed this sort of perversity? Why, we’d be no different than Sodom and Gomorrah. The liberal politicians and judges in this country are always denigrating God’s name and His Law by saying that God has no places in our courts, schools, or public offices. These are the same people who insisted we give the Negroes equal rights, too! Everyone should know by now how incapable they are of acting in the best interests of this country. If they had their way, we’d all be running around, living in sin, doing whatever we please. There would be no good or bad: do you want your children growing up like that?

Secondly, the Democratic presidential candidates have decided to starting slinging mud at the best President this country has ever had. For the first time since I can remember, we have a president who isn’t afraid to let God into his heart, and God Him rule our great nation through him. It’s about time, too. Without God’s strength, who knows what Bush would have done after September 11th, or during this war with Iraq. Would he have had the strength to save our economy, dispose of an evil tyrant, and defend our country? Much less try to save our family values from a lot of hatemongering gays and subversive activists.

Finally, I feel that I have to comment on Mel Gibson’s new movie, The Passion of the Christ. Well, I was left absolutely breathless. Here, finally, we have a dedicated Catholic who isn’t afraid to depict Christ’s death just like it happened. People complain about the movie being anti-Semitic, but I just don’t see that. The Jews killed our Lord, yes, but that’s just what happened. Maybe this should be a wake-up call to all of them living in sin to reach out for His forgiveness. I’ve also heard people saying that the Gospel isn’t historical fact, but that’s just plain old nonsense. Everyone knows that the Bible is accurate: it’s the most sold book ever! Besides, all the Christians in this country can’t be wrong, now can they? I, for one, applaud Mr. Gibson for working with God to touch Christians and non-Christians alike.

I have 4 children, and I’m raising them to be good and faithful Christian soldiers. My job isn’t easy when the devil is at large in the world, corrupting our youth and our politicians, trying to bring about sinful lifestyles as though they were perfectly fine: interracial marriages, homosexuality, violence in movies and TV, heretical faiths such as Islam, and especially gay priests. I, for one, will pray for the souls of our nation, and that God would grant President Bush the wisdom and strength to preserve our decent and just way of life.

Signed,
Helen Nesciens
